What I teach

Services

Private sessions for strength, mobility & longevity

Every session is one-to-one, ninety minutes, and built around your structure and history — in my studio or in your home anywhere across Los Angeles.

Private strength yoga

Loaded, progressive sessions that build genuine capacity in the hips, shoulders and spine — strength you can carry into everything else you do.

Mobility & movement restoration

Joint-by-joint work to reclaim range you can actually control, for stiff hips, guarded shoulders and backs that never quite settle.

Longevity practice

Balance, breath and tissue resilience — the unglamorous work that keeps you strong, upright and independent decades from now.

Returning to movement

A careful, unhurried path back after time away, working around what's sensitive with your medical team's guidance rather than through it.

The Practice

Yoga taught with the precision of strength training

Strength

Progressive, load-aware sequencing that builds real capacity in the hips, shoulders and spine — not just flexibility.

Mobility

Joint-by-joint work that restores range you can actually control, so movement feels open instead of guarded.

Longevity

Balance, breath and tissue resilience — the quiet practices that keep you moving well decades from now.

Your Teacher

Attention that a group class cannot give you

I teach exclusively one-to-one. That means every cue, every shape and every progression is chosen for your structure, your history and the life you want your body to keep up with — whether you're returning after injury, building strength for the first time, or protecting the decades ahead.

Sessions blend classical alignment-based asana with mobility work, breath training and simple loaded strength. Nothing performative. Everything intentional.

In their words

Students of the practice

Private Yoga for Individual Recovery

“After my hip injury, going back to a regular yoga class wasn't really an option for me. The pace was too fast, and I needed more time and attention with each pose. Working privately with Karelina allows me to practice at my own pace and within what my body can comfortably do.

She gives me the extra time I need to move into each asana, pays close attention to my alignment, and adapts the session around how my hip is feeling that day. I never feel rushed or pressured to keep up with anyone else. Private yoga has given me a way to continue moving, stretching, and building confidence in my body while receiving the individual attention I need.”

Stuart R.

Yoga at My Own Pace

“At 79, and with a knee replacement, I knew that keeping my body moving was important — but a regular yoga class moves faster than I'm comfortable with. I wanted to practice yoga without feeling that I had to keep up with everyone else.

My one-on-one sessions with Karelina give me exactly that. She takes her time with me, modifies the poses when necessary, and makes sure I feel comfortable and stable before we move on. I can work at my own pace while still being encouraged to move, stretch, and stay active.

What I appreciate most is the personal attention. The session is designed around me, my abilities, and what my body needs. At my age, that makes all the difference.”

Questions

Before you begin

Where do sessions take place?+

In your home, garden, gym or building studio — anywhere with a quiet, level space roughly the size of two mats. I travel across the Los Angeles area, from Rancho Palos Verdes through the South Bay and Westside up to Chatsworth.

What should I wear and bring?+

Comfortable clothing you can move and stretch in, and bare feet. I bring the mat, blocks, straps and any other props we need, so there's nothing for you to buy.

Do I need any yoga experience?+

None at all. Most of my students come from strength training, running, cycling, desk work or long careers of sitting. Everything is taught from the ground up and scaled to your body.

What if I have an injury or a medical condition?+

Share it in the wellness assessment before we begin and we'll design around it. I work with load and alignment carefully, and I'll always refer you back to your physician or physical therapist when that's the right call.

What is your cancellation policy?+

Please reschedule at least 24 hours before your session and there's no charge. Cancellations inside 24 hours, or missed sessions, are billed in full. Ongoing Practice runs on autopay with a six-month minimum and can be paused once for up to four weeks.

How do payments work?+

Single sessions and the Alignment Series are paid before the first session. Ongoing Practice is billed monthly by autopay. Invoices are sent by email.

How do we start?+

Book a free 15-minute consult call to talk through your goals, or send an enquiry and I'll reply personally. The wellness assessment comes next so your first session is built around you.

Begin where you are

Tell me a little about your body, your history and what you'd like to build. I'll reply personally with a suggested starting point.
